Transcranial magnetic stimulation

services

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive procedure that is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression. This non-invasive procedure is highly recommended by providers when medication efficacy has failed to give the freedom of depression, resulting in low motivation, depressed mood, and loss of interest in previously enjoyable activities.

During this procedure, magnetic fields are used to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. The procedure usually takes less than 20 minutes and is highly recommended for clients whose antidepressants have not been effective in relieving their symptoms.

Your provider will assist you in deciding if this is an option for you.
